Craig Chapman
Chief Executive Officer

Craig has been active within the process industries, particularly the food, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and energy sectors, for most of his career. He has held roles in general management, operations and sales / marketing with employers that include CEL International, Bovis Lend Lease, Invensys APV, Bioengineering and Neu Engineering. Craig has developed and introduced new strategy, recommended and made acquisitions, managed the return of loss making businesses to profit and has a proven track record in project / team management. He has experience both in the UK and internationally.

Richard Gueterbock
Marketing Director

Richard looks after marketing and communications for Clearfleau and has been involved in the company since it was set up to deliver energy from waste solutions for the food sector. He has also been responsible for securing grant funding for our clients. Richard has a background in the food and agriculture industries and he has worked with a number of businesses in the biotech and cleantech sectors. In the 1990s, he was Political Adviser to two UK Agriculture Ministers and also spent some time in Brussels working for EU Institutions. Richard is a Trustee of the Royal Agricultural Society of England (RASE).

Andy Clark
Operations Manager

Andy has extensive food industry experience in running manufacturing plants and delivering projects for companies that include Heinz, Glisten Confectionary, Ashbury Confectionary and Weetabix. He has overall responsibility for project / plant supply working in conjunction with our partners and sub-contractors. Andy is also responsible for the Clearfleau trials facility - the Small Scale Production Plant (SSPP) - a very successful tool in demonstrating the effective performance of Clearfleau's innovative high solids anaerobic contact reactor in the on-site treatment of industrial wastes.

Derek Rodman
Technical Manager

Derek is a highly experienced waste water engineer with extensive process design experience in potable and waste water (industrial and municipal) in the UK and Overseas. He has previously worked for prominent contracting companies which includes Nastons, Degremont UK, PCI Limited and several consulting engineering companies such as Watson Hawkesley and Reed Crowther. Derek started his career in the water industry at the Water Research Centre. He is responsible for process, electrical and engineering design, procurement, through to provision of on-site implementation support. He is also responsible for generation of Clearfleau proposals.

Richard Hewitt
Senior Project Manager
 Richard Hewitt

Richard is a highly experienced project manager with extensive project delivery expertise gained in anaerobic digestion, water treatment, incineration, boilers, pumping stations and refineries. He has previously worked for a number of prominent contracting and consulting companies. He has HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study) and HAZID (Hazard Identification Study) expertise and is experienced in the generation of Health and Safety plans.

 

Alan Rooke
Electrical Engineering Manager

Alan is a Professional Electrical Engineer registered with the Engineering Council. He has extensive experience in the water and waste water industry as well as strong project management, conceptual and detailed EICA design skills often combining more than one of these roles. He has previously worked for prominent contracting companies which includes Nastons, Degremont UK and Snamprogetti.

 

Kevin Sissons
Trials and Commissioning Supervisor
Kevin Sissons

Kevin is responsible for operating Clearfleau’s mobile trials unit, the SSPP (Small Scale Production Plant) which has proved to be highly successful in demonstrating the effective performance of Clearfleau’s digestion process. He is also responsible for provision of commissioning/training support.

 

 

Dirk Hedemann
Senior Process Engineer

Dirk is a senior process engineer with extensive experience of anaerobic digestion supplying both anaerobic and aerobic waste water treatment technology. His experience encompasses all phases from initial feasibility to design and commissioning on projects both in the UK and overseas. Dirk is a graduate in Engineering - Biotechnology from the University of Applied Science, Hamburg.

 

Sue Higgins
Marketing and Public Relations

Sue is a Chartered Marketer who has worked in marketing and communications for over 20 years. She has a wealth of experience in communications, planning, and implementation and her commercial experience combined with her strong analytical skills provide her with the ability to focus on the key issues. She is fully aware of the benefits Clearfleau's technology can bring in providing competitive advantage as well as enhancing their client's brand.

 

Roger Sewell
Financial Controller
 

Roger is a Certified Accountant. He prepares management accounts and financial forecasts and deals with invoicing and terms of business issues.

 

Richard Wallis
Director
 

Richard is a founder member of the company. He has a track record of nurturing early stage companies and has built up businesses in manufacturing and technology. He brings experience of building complex process plants on time, and to budget, as well as hands-on management and leadership skills. He has responsibility for the overall development of Clearfleau as a business recognizing that our current and future partners are key components in this.

Tony Gover
Chairman
 

Tony is a successful businessman with a law degree and who has qualified as a Chartered Accountant. Tony brings considerable commercial expertise, and a track record of successful business development with innovative or technology based companies.

Ian MacKenzie
Director
 

Ian is a technology and business development specialist with a career background in the life sciences sector. He has significant experience with early-stage, private equity backed companies and in commercialising novel technologies.
