Anaerobic treatment for liquid bio-waste feedstocks
Clearfleau is active in a range of industrial sectors where there are opportunities to extract energy from liquid effluent or add value to nutrient rich feedstocks including:
- Drinks production, including brewing, distilleries, malting, cider and soft drinks
- Dairy Processing, for large and small scale sites, treating whey and dairy fats
- Food manufacturing, confectionary, desserts, processed foods and ingredients
- Industrial by-products, bio-fuel residues, oils and other industrial feedstocks
The high rate liquid digestion process is able to treat a range of bio-degradable residues and optimise biogas output from them. Unlike other high rate systems this includes FOG (fats, oils and grease). The system can also handle other feedstocks such as sugars and light chemicals.
Clearfleau designs and builds integrated treatment plants that minimise the cost of liquid bio-waste disposal, based on core technologies in anaerobic treatment and effluent cleansing.
Anaerobic Digestion is a well-established process for bio-waste treatment, where suspended (volatile) solids are converted into biogas. In Clearfleau's processes liquid retention times are kept to a minimum to reduce capital and operating costs, whilst optimising biogas output.
Clearfleau has a range of solutions for solids separation, nutrient removal and final effluent polishing. We can achieve local water course discharge standards and meet plant specific water re-use or recycling requirements.
Clearfleau specialises in energy from waste and wastewater treatment systems for industrial sites and is able to treat a wide range of liquid (pumpable) bio-degradable feedstocks from a number of sectors. Our process engineers will design and specify a plant specifically to meet your site’s requirements. We provide a full plant design and installation service for our treatment projects to include process control, mechanical and electrical instrumentation and civil engineering works.
